Additional Information

New vinyl window frames can often get scratched during handling or installation. Off-the-shelf abrasive solutions are regularly used to remove the damage. Problems develop in two areas; 1) abrasives dull the window frames and 2) the chemicals in the solution are often harmful to the vinyl in the window frame which can cause discoloration of the PVC over time.

To avoid both of these problems, VinylDoc developed Shine-It as a non-solvent method for restoring the luster to vinyl window frames that uses progressive steps.

1. Start with the finest pad you think you need to smooth the surface. The coarser pads are more aggressive and need to be used with caution.
2. Use successively finer pads until you achieve the desired gloss.
3. Wet sanding can improve performance, reduce dust and prevent 'clogging'. This will increase the useful life of the pad.
4. Working with a light touch and spending more time will give the best results.
